90km southwest of Ipoh, Pulau Pangkor is merely 40 minutes away from Lumut by ferry.

For those who are keen on history, the old Duch fortress at Teluk Gedung is a must-see. Built in 1670, the fortress was intended to guard off pirates and local Malays.
