The second largest natural lake in the country, Tasik Chini is set amidst 12,000 acres of lush tropical forests. Legend has it that an ancient Khmer city once existed here, resulting in several scientific expeditions by local and foreign archaeologists. It is also believed that a mythical monster lurks in its depths and guards the lake. Chalets, restaurants and camping grounds are available here.
