7km north of Kuantan, Beserah is a fishing village famous for its preserved fish.

Here, the freshly caught fishes are transported to the processing centre by buffaloes, very rare indeed in this country.

Besides fishing, Beserah also houses some of the cottage industries such as batik and handicrafts made of seashells and coconut shells.
