Located in southeast Johor about 98km from the city of Johor Bahru, Desaru boasts 25km of sandy beaches.

It offers several hotels, an 18-hole golf course as well as tennis, boating, swimming, waterskiing and fishing facilities.

Going to Desaru
Malaysia Airlines provides regular daily flights from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru. From Johor Bahru, tourists can take a bus or taxi to Tanjung Penawar near Desaru.

KTM also offers daily trains to Johor Bahru from Kuala Lumpur. From the railway station, you can take a taxi to Desaru or Mersing.

Tourists can also take a ferry from Changi pier in Singapore to Tanjung Belungkor, from where transport can be arranged for the trip to Desaru.
